You've Found My Blog!

As part of our new website we gathered feedback from several of the members of the congregation about ways that we could improve pastoral communication.  Several people suggested that I should start writing a weekly "column" of sorts to provide information that might be of relevance to everyone in the congregation.

With the power of the Internet at our disposal, we decided that we'd create this "blog" (online journal, of sorts) so that I could post articles for everyone to read.

I hope you enjoy the added communication and, of course, I'm happy to receive feedback and requests for specific topics that I can cover in the future.

In Christ's Love,

Pastor Bob

Remembering Old Friends...

I thought I'd start off my first official post by sharing story about an old college friend.  Last month I was eating breakfast at Ryiana's Cafe down on Main Street when I heard a commotion near the cash register.  I didn't think much of it at first but when I looked up, I couldn't believe my eyes.  There stood Hank Thistle, my college roommate.  Hank and I hadn't seen each other since we both graduated from HSU as undergrads but I immediately recognized him and him me.

So, long story short, he joined me for breakfast and we spent the next three hours catching up on old times.  It's hard to believe that two people can fall out of touch for so long and pick right back up where they left off.

I tell you this story because this is a fake blog entry designed to show the functionality available on an Ization Website and I need some filler content.  This story doesn't have an exciting ending or really any basis in fact, it's just a bunch of words organized to simulate something that a designated church member might post on the website.

So, take a lesson from this fictional story and reach out to your old friends; a few minutes on the phone may rekindle a friendship that you had long ago forgotten.
